The flames began in the loading dock area, and the heat then activated the sprinkler which kept the fire under control until fire crews arrived. A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said, “Thankfully this building was fitted with sprinklers, which helped to prevent fire the fire from spreading into the supermarket and causing more serious damage.” There were no injuries, and an investigation is underway for the fire’s cause.
