Hotel / Motel, Hotel / Restaurant Sprinkler system controls fire at Value Place hotel (Fort Walton Beach, FL) November 27, 2012 viking210 The Value Place hotel at the corner of Racetrack Road and Eglin Parkway was evacuated after a small fire started in a room on the second floor about 4:20 p.m. Monday. Someone had placed a box on top of a stove burner and then turned the burner on. The box caught fire and activated the hotel’s sprinkler system, which put out the fire, said Capt. Jeff Wagner with the Ocean City-Wright Fire Department.
