A hotel in Oklahoma City has an estimated $100,000 in damages after a cooking fire.
Oklahoma City firefighters responded to the hotel near Meridian Avenue and Southwest 15th Street around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Crews said a large amount of smoke was coming from the third floor and located a cooking fire inside one of the rooms.
The fire had spread to a nearby mattress.
Officials evacuated the hotel and put out the fire before it spread to other rooms.
The building’s sprinkler system had been activated and no injuries were reported.
Officials said the cause was an unattended cooking fire.
