Apartment Building, Residential Weirton, WV – Fire at apartment complex extinguished by sprinkler system December 19, 2014 viking210 The Weirton Fire Department responded to a call at the Freedom Place apartment complex on Main Street Wednesday afternoon for a fire on the fourth floor. The fire was contained and then extinguished by the building’s sprinkler system before firefighters reached the point of origin, according to Chief Jerry Shumate.
