Storage / Warehouse, Warehouse Warehouse fire controlled by sprinkler (Portsmouth, VA) March 13, 2014 viking210 When a fire ripped through a warehouse on Tuesday evening, firefighters had to use saws to cut through the metal doors and as well as combat other obstacles as the warehouse had undergone several different remodels in order to accommodate the different businesses it has housed over the years. Fire crews discovered the the flames had been contained to a single area in the warehouse thanks to the building’s fire sprinklers and were able to put the rest of the fire out. The fire, while under investigation, does not appear to be suspicious. No injuries were reported.
