Apartment Building, Residential Sprinklers limit damage at apartment fire (North Charleston, SC) April 11, 2014 viking210 According to the responding firefighters, a sprinkler system saved an apartment from a fire which began in the kitchen. The Thursday afternoon fire activated the sprinkler system in the kitchen, which then eliminated the blaze. The cause of the fire appears to be unattended cooking materials. There were no injuries reported in the incident.
