Apartment Building, Residential Sprinklers halt apartment fire (West Dennis, MA) June 23, 2014 viking210 A mid-morning grease fire began in an apartment building on Sunday morning, and the complex’s fire sprinkler quickly extinguished the blaze. The resident’s were able to evacuate safely and without injury. Assistant Fire Chief John Donlan contrasted this incident with a fire two weeks earlier in an apartment that was not equipped with fire sprinklers; that fire sent 11 residents people to the hospital and caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage.
