Apartment Building, Residential Off-campus apartment fire contained by sprinkler system (Ettrick, VA) October 3, 2012 viking210 The blaze began in one of the off-campus apartments that was being used for storage. The building’s sprinkler system helped keep the fire from spreading to other units. Fire officials said the stove in the apartment was accidently turned on and lit items on the stove on fire. No injuries were reported and the students who live in the building were able to return to their apartments within hours of the fire.
