Fire sprinkler system extinguishes apartment kitchen fire (Prescott, AZ)

May 31, 2012 viking210 1 Comment

A sprinkler system at a two-story apartment complex in Prescott put out a fire in a kitchen, preventing damage to other units in the building, said Prescott Fire Capt. Jeff Knotek.  “The fire got hot enough to set off the sprinkler head above, which quickly extinguished the fire,” Knotek said.

A fire sprinkler is a series of landscape sprinkler heads linked with pipe that is filled with water. They’re automatic and directly linked with your domestic drinking water.
