Fire crews were alerted to a fire at a dry cleaner on Sunday night. After breaking down the front windows and encountering heavy smoke, they found the fire contained by the building’s fire sprinkler and quickly doused the remaining flames.
“The combination of the quick work of the fire department and the working sprinkler system confined the fire damage to the business of origin,” said Weymouth Fire Department fire prevention coordinator, Justin Myers.
There were no injuries reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
