Government/Military, Prison / Jail Fire in jail laundry room contained by sprinkler system (Durham, NC) January 18, 2012 viking210 “It turns out there was one dryer in the laundry room on fire,” Maj. Paul Martin of the Durham County Sheriff’s Office. “The fire burned out and set off the sprinkler system. We have some water and smoke damage in the jail and several hundred uniforms that have to be washed.” Required no evacuation. No one was injured.
