Apartment Building, Residential Sprinklers prove effectiveness in apartment fire (Concord, CA) August 19, 2013 viking210 A fire that started in an apartment the morning of August 14 was quickly limited by the unit’s fire sprinklers and responding fire crews. According to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, the fire sprinklers saved the apartment from the fire which most likely began from embers from a barbecue on the balcony. There were no injuries reported.
