Apartment Building, Residential Fire sprinklers show worth in apartment fire (Normal, IL) May 15, 2013 viking210 When a fire broke out in the kitchen of an apartment in the early evening, the fire sprinkler in the unit activated, eliminating all of the flames. The cause of the fire was oil on the stove which caught on fire as well as a nearby dish towel. No one was injured as a result of the fire.
